Farmers in England who have lost 25% or more of their April 2020 average price paid per litre compared to February 2020 will be able to apply through the RPA for a single payment.
Blanket relaxation of the three-crop rule
Environment Minister George Eustice has said there will be a blanket relaxation of the three crop rule for farmers due to widespread flooding.
Property inspections, maintenance and repairs during COVID-19
Repairs will depend whether they are “essential” or not. Essential repairs might include things like a severe leak causing damage to property or electrics such as a burst water mains pipe, or a broken boiler leaving a property without heat or hot water.
Basic Payment Scheme Key Dates
The Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) opens on 12 March, and runs until 15 May 2020 without penalty or by midnight on 9 June (with late application penalties applying).

Countryside Stewardship Scheme Now Open
The application window for Countryside Stewardship opened on Tuesday 11th February 2020 for farmers and landowners. Defra minister has encouraged farmers to use Countryside Stewardship as a steppingstone to the new Environmental Land Management Scheme (ELMS).
