You can now apply for productivity and slurry management grants through the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) but note the deadline to apply is midday on 17 April 2024.

The FETF provides grants for farming equipment and technology that supports improvements in productivity, slurry management, and animal health and welfare.

Grants for productivity and slurry management items are available now, with grants for animal health and welfare items becoming be available later in March.

Farmers, foresters and growers, and contractors to those sectors can apply. 

Applications can be made for one grant from each of the three themes (i.e. 1: productivity, 2: slurry management, and 3: animal health and welfare).

Successful applicants will receive a grant of: 

  • a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £50,000 towards productivity items
  • a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £50,000 towards slurry items
  • a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £25,000 towards animal health and welfare items

Grants are designed to cover a percentage of the cost of the item you are purchasing, with the exact percentage depending on the item in question.

Please note the fund is competitive, so it’s important your application is fully in order and geared to give you the best chance of success.
