We are looking for a part-time Chartered Town and Country Planner with experience in the public and/or private sectors to join our team based in Sherborne (Dorset) and Bath. You will be joining a busy firm, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Established in 2000, we now have a small multi-skilled team covering estate management, utilities, environment, project management, architecture, planning and surveying.

The Chartered Town Planner role
We are looking for a part-time Chartered Town Planner to join our team based in Sherborne (Dorset) and Bath. You will have experience in the public and/or private sectors including managing projects from initial conception through to successful conclusion, securing and negotiating planning consents, and engaging directly with clients.
Hours are negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Managing rural planning projects from initial concept to conclusion
- Assisting with new instructions, developing existing client relationships, and the opportunity to be involved with developing the business
- Providing excellent client care
- Meeting KPIs in respect of work in progress and hours into work
- Developing the planning side of the business
- Helping develop and mentor junior members of the team
- Adhering to H&S procedures and promoting sustainable working methods
Your profile
- Qualifications – Degree to BSC/BA, MRTPI
- Experience in planning, if possible both in public and private sectors
- Ability to work alone, use initiative and within a team
- Enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated, highly organised
- Strong verbal, client-facing and presentation skills
- Strong numerical skills, IT skills, excellent report writing and grammar
