The eligibility checking stage of the Farming Transformation grant is now open for an eight-week period, and closes on 16 March 2022.

The fund covers automated farm equipment such as milking robots and weeding equipment, mild-slurry acidification, or ventilation systems for agriculture and horticulture. The minimum grant support is for proposals costing £87,500 and the maximum is £500,000.

If your plans score highly enough against the relevant criteria after the initial application, you will be invited to submit a full application by 14 September 2022.

While the scheme is open to farmers across England, it very much fits the larger and progressive businesses in our new service area of East Anglia. The scale and nature of farming operations in East Anglia, together with the kind of precision-farming technology used by farmers in this part of the country, is likely to make the fund especially popular here.
