Plan of the proposed covered slurry lagoon

AssetSphere successfully managed a full planning application for a new covered slurry lagoon. This was essential for securing funding under the Slurry Infrastructure Grant (SIG), which aims to improve slurry management on farms to reduce nutrient pollution.

Due to the site’s proximity to protected dwellings, the proposal required additional information, including a Nutrient Management Plan and air quality calculations. AssetSphere effectively demonstrated that the project would not increase nutrient pollution, aligning with SIG’s goals.

Despite initial concerns from Natural England about ammonia and nitrogen emissions, AssetSphere’s collaboration with ADAS, a national consultancy, led to revised air quality calculations. These efforts resulted in Natural England withdrawing their objection, and the application was approved.

This success highlights AssetSphere’s expertise in navigating complex planning processes and securing approvals for challenging projects.
